LOMOND progress to the next round of the Fife AFA League Cup by defeating higher league opposition.
A penalty six minutes from time by captain Danny Caldwell settled the tie after a see-saw encounter saw both sides surrender leads.
Pitreavie took an early lead but an own goal brought Lomond level before Gavin Dales notched his second of the season to put United ahead.
The home side equalised before David Elder was brought down in the box, and Caldwell made the spot kick count.
